Krook Street Racing Husqvarna
David Andersson used to have a Husqvarna SMR 570 in his garage in Sweden. The he stumbled across the Mule Motorcycles website—Mule being Richard Pollock creator of the Web Surfer Bike EXIF Calendar bike and a regular commenter here. “I went down to my garage and started disassembling my supermoto to see if it could be turned into something resembling a flat tracker” says Andersson. “It couldn’t. The only usable parts were the engine the hubs the brakes and maybe the kickstand.”
So Andersson contacted a local frame builder and started a blog to document the progress of his transformed Husqvarna. He named the blog after the street where he lives and within a couple of weeks he was in contact with a “whole host of people with infinitely more flat track know-how than myself.” The build process was long and torturous but as you can see the result is sublime.
